When holding a low glycemic foods diet, make sure to avoid foods such as bread, pancakes, snack chips, commercial cereals, potatoes and crackers. When it comes to the beverages that should be avoided during a low glycemic foods diet, fruit juices should not be consumed at all. Cakes and muffins, in fact all types of candies, should also be eliminated from your everyday diet. Bananas and most dried fruits also need to be avoided when holding a low glycemic foods diet. Reducing at first the quantities of these high glycemic foods from your diet, till actually eliminating them, will not be of help only when it comes to properly holding a low glycemic foods diet, but actually in adopting a healthier lifestyle.
